Lil's owner, Pam Schneider and Gale coordinated a breeding of Lil to a

Friesian Stallion "Bente D"

We waited with anticipation, with all of us guessing as to what color

the foal would be.

Well... Lil had the last laugh, by birthing her foal THREE WEEKS EARLY on

APRIL FOOLS DAY !

    Lil is a Cremello Quarterhorse, registered with the AQHA.

  He sure was a tiny baby, of course, because he was three weeks early!

He sure looked black when he was born, and then he turned an interesting brown color with silver legs.  But we can see now as he is shedding out his baby fluff, that there is black hair growing out from underneath.  And he has the typical Friesian feathers on his ankles.  Very cute!

Isn't interesting how they change colors????
